Two days before my friends invited us over for steamboat, my boi and I already steamboat-ed twice at home. I know that it sounds slightly overmuch to have steamboat 3 days in a row but what to do?! There are always heaps of ingredients left to be "resolved" on the next day.
As we grow older, our memories fade inevitably... I wish to keep them here, just between you and me... My beautiful diary...

Brunch at Engine Room Cafe

Last night, I suggested my boi to take me out for brunch on the next day (which is today) at the Coffee House in Hume Street. But unfortunately, things didn't go as plan after we woke up from bed. Both of us happened to have no appetite for any western food at all. So in the end, we came to Engine Room Cafe for their rice dishes. Very typical "rice pails" (饭桶) we are...

The most awaited good news struck me this morning, when I checked my e-mail. It came right at the most perfect time and I can't feel any happier than I felt today! I've been worrying dead about this "something" which has puzzled me a lot lately. Knowing that everything has finally come to an end is such a great relief for me and in celebration of this, we planned to watch "Inception" after my boi finished his work. However, there was a slight change of plan when he got home. We went on an exciting little night drive to Picnic Point, and the outdoor temperature was around 5 - 6 degrees that time. I know, it was crazy as it sounded.

On the 17th of July, we celebrated Vera's 20th birthday three days earlier than her actual birthday. The dress code was red, so be prepared to expose your eyes to a lot of redness. Also, be warned that there are more photos than it usually has in one post. Although I didn't join them guys during the gaming and dancing sessions but still I had fun! The party was simply awesome!!! Thank you so much girls for everything provided ♥

Ladies and gentlemen, here comes the second part! I was doubting whether or not I should put them up here as they're less interesting compared to the first part. What do you think? I think it really doesn't matter now, since I've already spent so much time filtering and processing the photos. So don't waste my efforts (一番心機), alright? I promise to compensate you something a lot more fascinating in my upcoming post =)

Finally, I have some spare time to sort out this post, after spending days "digesting" all 40 episodes of the Chinese drama, Schemes of A Beauty (美人心计). It sure was one of the good long series I have seen so far, despite the fact that the last 10 to15 episodes were not as interesting as the previous ones. Well, let's forget about those evil hearted beauties and enjoy the beauty of this Preston Peak Cellar Door and Cafe we visited last Sunday, will ya? A promise is always a promise... I promised to share, so here they are...

Sichuan hot-pot prepared and served by Daren and Fong. Now is the best time of the year to have steamboats, since the weather is extraordinary cold lately.
